Who Are We?

Harbour Futures is a free-to-use not-for-profit organisation offering tailored support packages for children in care, care leavers, and those known to the care system. Just under 3% of under 18s were involved in the social care system in 2024, of these there were over 83,000 children living in care. Our programmes give young people the guidance, experiences, and opportunities they need to thrive. focus on career aspirations, personal wellbeing, and academic progress.

Tailored Support

Skill Development

Care leavers aged 19–21: 39% are NEET (not in education, employment or training) in England, highlighting the need for skills-focused interventions

Tutoring

Academic Boost

Children referred to social care are twice as likely to fail GCSEs: 53% didn’t get a grade 4 in both English & Maths vs 24% of their peers

Mentoring

One-on-One Guidance

NICE guidelines recommend mentoring for looked-after children, especially to support their social, emotional, and mental wellbeing.

Among 19–21‑year-old care leavers: 27% were in training, employment or an apprenticeship, showing a gap and the need for exposure to practical opportunities
